We just came from a screening of Robert Wise’s 1949 Noir/Boxing classic THE SET-UP at the beautiful Music Box Theater. It’s a perfect film! J.R. Jones, movie critic with the Chicago Reader, was there to promote his book THE LIVES OF ROBERT RYAN along with Robert Ryan’s daughter. It was a fine way to spend a couple of hours on a chilly Sunday afternoon.
