This was an experiment to see if I could write a story in under 100 words.

Nocturnal Divorce

          He was rid of her.

          The shovel filled the hole by the light of a pregnant moon.

          No more nagging. No more mistrust. No more unhappiness. It began as a happy marriage, but it didn't end that way.

          Would the Currie Valley Police Department be suspicious? Would they think it was murder? Would they find the grave?

          It didn't matter. He was rid of her. That was what mattered. He'd finally be able to get some peace.

          The last of the earth fell into place.

          She got into her car and drove off.

          And he was rid of her.
